DVD 1 – Basics; Covers tool sharpening and basic cutting techniques. Selection of projects include spinning tops, tool handle, wooden pen, a twig pot from a branch and earrings. (120 minutes)
DVD 2 – Bowls and Other Projects; Bowl turning techniques include preparing the blanks, chucking methods, turning insides, outsides and reverse chucking for turning the bottoms. Other projects include a small goblet with loose rings, a thimble and wooden balls. (105 minutes)
DVD 3 – Boxes and Other Projects; Chatter techniques and decorating with colors. Box turning techniques include mounting, turning inside and outside of lid & base. Other projects include an acorn box, bolo ties and tips, purse mirror and refrigerator magnets. The use of a buffing wheel for polishing projects is also demonstrated. (105 minutes).
DVD 4 -Turning Unusual Materials; Several projects using such materials as horn, bone, cast polyester, antler, mother of pearl, hoof, and solid surface counter top materials are demonstrated. Sources, techniques and finishing processes are discussed. (100 minutes)
DVD 5- Turning Boxes with Threaded Lids; The entire process of turning a box with a threaded lid is demonstrated. (70 minutes)
